A young Mountain Gorilla rests in her leafy bed in the highlands of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda.
This particular young female Gorilla wanted to display to us how she could make a bed out of the surrounding vegetation and then proceeded to pretend to sleep in it, it was uncanny just how similar her behavior was to my own little child. That day we trekked for hours through the thick forest until we came across a family of Mountain Gorillas. There are just over 1000 individuals left, so these animals represent some of the last of their species.
